Flight Facilities FOREVERFlight Facilities

FOREVER

We’ve had to wait eleven long years for a second full length studio album from Flight Facilities, one might say we’ve had to wait FOREVER. But holly heck was it worth the wait! Eleven tracks that slap for eleven years of patience, with features from classic Flight collaborators like BROODS, Emma Louise, and BRUX. With borders reopening and the flights – all puns intended – returning, it’s time to party. And FOREVER is a near flawless album designed for that exact purpose. Move you shall, my friends. And I’ll see you all in the Flight pit for 2022s festival season. Play loud. Dance hard.

Gang of Youths, Tend The GardenGang of Youths

Tend The Garden

I don’t know if this is a streaming hack thing designed to increase numbers, and in truth I don’t really care, but Gang of Youths are dropping EPs this year like hot biscuits in a bakery. And their latest, Tend The Garden is quite simply a new release combined with former singles from the last 12 months… and it’s great! It’s all your new favourites from GOY in a single tidy package designed to wet your whistle before they release their forthcoming studio album in Feb. Exciting new sonic adventures for GOY. Fun fun times. Wrap your ears around this one.

BROODS, HeartacheBROODS

Heartache

‘Heartbreak’ is the latest single release from New Zealand electro-pop duo BROODS, and it’s a banger. Glimmering electronic samples, shiny synths and a smooth as silk bass riff cary this minimalist venture into being present with grief. Co produced by Canadian record producer and songwriter, Away Bhattacharyya (aka Stints), ‘Heartbreak’ is the second release from their forthcoming album Space Island due out in Feb. Moody but hella groovy stuff from our favourite brooding NZ siblings. Get about it.
