We are genuinely pleased to represent this Hi-Fi industry stalwart in Australia.

DUAL has an incredibly rich history, both in Australia and around the world.

The complete DUAL range of turntables will be available nationally from our network of specialist Hi-Fi dealers, who will also be able to assist you in choosing the right turntable for your needs.

About DUAL – a very brief history

Located in the Black forest town of St. Georgen, Germany DUAL began its operation as the “Gebrüder Steidinger” company 118 years ago in 1900 as a manufacturer of spring drives for gramophones, with 1,500 spring drives being dispatched from its factory every single day.

In 1927 the company announced a revolutionary new drive unit permitting Gramophones to be driven either by the normal windup method or by electric motor. This new motor/drive design was known as the “dual-engine”. This development led to the change in company name to DUAL. This newly named company won its first major award at the 1937 World Expo held in Paris and has received many more accolades there since.

DUAL has sold many millions of turntables spanning well in excess of 100 different models both with direct drive systems and belt drive systems.

Dual was or many years a very strong brand here in Australia, and was also by far the best selling turntable brand in Europe. In fact chances are that if you were born in the 70s, 80s, and even 90s you either owned a DUAL turntable, or you know someone who did.

All DUAL turntables are made in Germany in DUAL’s very own factory, with many of the components used in its products either hand made of adjusted by artisans.

The DUAL turntable range includes a turntable for most users, from fully automatic (plug & play models) for those who simply wish to place a record on the platter and simply select play, as well as automatic models designed for those who want the convenience of automatic functions, but also wish to customise their turntable with their own choice of cartridge, to the world renowned Semi-Automatic DUAL CS-505-4 turntable, to premium completely manual and customisable turntables, with some models also including the option to play older 78 speed records.
