Castle Acoustics has been the reigning British authority in high-value loudspeakers since 1973. In-house production stretches from the finest drive units to its highly admired wood veneers, showcasing the best of British craftsmanship and combining it with the highest quality performance. And with manufacturing returned to the UK for some of its finest lines, Castle is once again the definitive example of pedigree British loudspeakers.

Bookshelf speakers are often cited for being affordable, compact, and efficient. So, they’re cost effective, easy to position and require less amp power – making them a highly attractive option. While they don’t produce the same presence as floorstanding speakers, they’re often thought to produce better imaging properties.

An all-new 9000 square ft. production facility, including a new anechoic chamber, was added to the original R&D headquarters to offer discerning listeners the absolute best of British audio. This product is manufactured by highly trained and vastly experienced loudspeaker experts at headquarters in Huntingdon. Cambridgeshire UK

CASTLE WINDSOR: SOUNDS LIKE ROYALTY

Designed by Karl-Heinz Fink and handcrafted in a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of the UK, Windsor Series represents not just the epitome of contemporary British Hi-Fi engineering, but also a true piece of cultural prestige that's certain to be the crown jewel of your audio system.

LITTLE BROTHER EARL

Windsor Earl is a 2-way standmount loudspeaker featuring a 6.5” (165mm) woven polypropylene mid/bass driver and a 1.1” (28mm) Micro-Fibre dome treble unit. Manufactured in the UK and hand finished in one of two true timber veneers (Walnut or Mahogany)Castle’s Windsor Earl is a British standmount of impeccable pedigree.

HAND CRAFTING THE UK SOUND NOTE BY NOTE

Hand-built and hand-finished by skilled artisans on British soil, Windsor series showcases Castles renewed commitment to the prestige of UK loudspeaker manufacturing. A harmonious blend of old-world craftsmanship and modern engineering methods, Windsor embodies the essence of Castles roots, continuing an almost 50 year legacy.

THE SYMPHONY OF MATERIAL SELECTION

Premium material selections such as ferromagnetic metal oxides, glass fibre, and copper were specifically chosen to craft a HF driver that could articulate emotion and translate power. The whispering trill of a violin; the radiant cry of cymbal strikes: Windsor isn't mere reproduction; it's refined musicality.

SAME OLD CASTLE? FINK AGAIN

Bearing the unmistakeable audio imprint of the acclaimed FinkTeam, Castle's Windsor series was created under the explicit direction of one Karl-Heinz Fink. With an approach to problem-solving that favours the intellectual methods of modelling and measurement, Castle Windsor is a profoundly modern loudspeaker with a classic cut.

CROSSOVER TO CASTLE

4th order Linkwitz-Riley topology and 'air core' inductors are combined within Windsor's crossover design to create seamless drive unit integration. Add to this a flat response, low distortion, and modest amplification load, and it's easy to see why serious listeners are crossing over to Castle.

SOUNDS SIMPLE. IT ISN'T

Astonishing levels of analysis and modelling went into developing resonant control methods that exactly match the output of Windsor's new acoustic drivers. While inert cabinets that simply let the music through sound simple enough, the design and engineering required to produce this is anything but.

A PRECISION-CUT MUSIC MASTERCLASS

Windsor's meticulously crafted polypropylene-based cone is precision cut into thin strips, then woven back into a bonded fabric to produce a remarkably rigid membrane. The construction is labour intensive, but the result is unparalleled resonance control that delivers a remarkably detailed musical masterclass.

MUSIC BY EMOTION, NOT NUMBERS

Expert use of low hysteresis rubber surrounds combined with glass fibre voice coils guarantees not only longevity but also an unswerving sonic purity. Windsor's careful orchestration of quality driver components transcends critical analysis into complete listener immersion, forgoing explicit detail to favour the music’s emotion.

WHAT'S A CASLTE WITHOUT ITS THRONE

Complimentary custom speaker stands, UK made using a high-carbon British steel construction and specifically weighted for zero resonance, are the perfect accompaniment to your new Castle Windsor loudspeakers, ensuring that it's not just sound quality that captures the attention of your listening audience.
