DUAL

CS-618Q Manual Turntable

$2,499.99

Driven to Keep You Spinning Since 1907. Under the new ownership of Dr Josef Zellner, Dual launches an entirely new line of turntables, redeveloped & rebranded for contemporary vinyl enthusiasts.

From storing, cleaning, and procrastinating over our precious collections to Saturday morning music conversations over coffee at the local record store, owning and playing vinyl records is a labour of passion. It’s this passion that inspires us to continue refining the art of record play, so that what we build inspires an even deeper connection to the music collections we all so deeply love.

Automatic turntables come in two varieties – semi and fully. Semi-automatic turntables require you to cue and lower the tonearm. However, it will automatically lift the tonearm off the record when each side is finished. Some semi-automatic turntables will then return the tonearm to the cradle. Some will not. And fully automatic turntables do it all. They cue, lower, and return the tonearm to its cradle position automatically for effortless vinyl play.

DEVIL IN THE DETAIL

Can a serious turntable also be seriously easy to use? Dual thinks it can. That's why they took a twin-gimbal tonearm with Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge, paired it with a quartz stabilised direct-drive motor, and then threw in a clever auto-stop tonearm lifter. So not only is CS 618Q unmistakably audiophile; it’s also devilishly convenient.

DIRECT DRIVE

Forget fitting, breaking or replacing platter belts. CS 618Q incorporates a quartz stabilised and rumble-free direct-drive motor for accurate, effortless vinyl play. And with better torque and improved timing, convenience never sounded so damn good.

RAISING THE BAR

CS 618Q literally raises the bar on turntable play with its devilishly clever auto-stop function. So you can whip on a record, unwind with a glass of wine, and completely forget that the music's playing. No damage done to record or needle; 618Q will lift the tonearm for you.

THOSE BEAUTIFUL BABY BLUES

Ortofon’s 2M Blue is an audiophile’s delight, producing incredible tonal balance and a full frequency range. Pre-fit, pre-aligned, and prepared to dig for those finer nuances, 2M Blue harvests the kind of detail required to bring all your favourite records to life.

FUTURE PROOFED

Cartridge manufactures cultivate sound the way winemakers do grapes, making future upgrades a tasty thought. That’s why CS 618Q incorporates precision counterweight and anti-skate adjustments, so you can calibrate for future tastes to suit your favourite vintage.

WORTHY OF YOUR WORSHIP

With a classic rubber matt atop an anodised silver platter spinning over your choice of two gorgeous finishes, CS 618Q is a 70s-style turntable dripping in music tradition. Because the table you play should be worthy of the collection you worship.

TWIN GIMBAL. TWICE THE DETAIL.

Records explode in vibrant detail thanks to 618Qs twin gimbal tonearm design. Plus, audiophile cartridge upgrades are made possible thanks to its solid aluminium construction with precision pivot ball-bearing, offering you a lifetime of deeper listening experiences.

NO PHONO? NO PROBLEM.

Forget buying new components and cables just to play records. No phono? No problems. With an inbuilt phono preamplifier, simply plug in your turntable and play. And thanks to its inbuilt line switch, you can easily bypass the internal preamp when (and if) it's time to upgrade.

DIALED IN

Effortless and wonderfully tactile, Dual’s speed selection dial makes flipping between your favourite records a dream. Sling singles, start a 78 collection, or line up an evening playlist of LPs. It’s too easy and way too much fun to play record after record after record.

5 YEAR WARRANTY

So confident in the quality of their turntable manufacturing, Dual turntables come with a 5-year warranty. So, your favourite LPs are guaranteed to keep spinning long after the anniversary edition re-releases.
