QUAD 33 PREAMPLIFIER

Quad 33 preamplifier features a high performance, low noise MM/MC phono stage, a dedicated headphone amplifier, 3 x RCA and 1 x XLR inputs, XLR out, and Quad’s iconic ’Tilt’ adjustment, all within an iconic chassis that’s home to physical tone controls, input selections, and a delicate LED backlit display.

ISOLATION = INTEGRITY

Vastly superior internal components. Greater chassis real estate to improve circuitry architecture (topology). Complete isolation from power supply/high-power circuitry noises. It’s these elements that combine to give you near perfect soundstage, imaging, detail and dynamics. And it’s Quad 33 that perfectly combines these elements.

MUSICAL FINE DINING

Quad’s top chefs took the highest quality produce (a low-noise, custom-specified toroidal transformer; reservoir/smoothing capacitors; ultra-low-noise regulators) and painstakingly arranged the signal path of 5 independent work stations to produce five 5-Star dishes (1 x XLR, 1 x Phono, 3 x RCA) utterly devoid of impurities or cross contamination. Some call it topology. Quad consider it art.

A custom-tooled anodised fascia with accented rotary dials that gently shift hue in the light is paired with a motorised ALPS volume control that independently rotates with remote adjustments, a subtle touch of sophistication. With backlit LCD display and input selectors in Quad’s iconic orange, Quad 33 wonderfully balances both contemporary and classic.

TWEAK LIKE A PRO WITH TILT CONTROL

Avoid thin, bright or bloated tonal adjustment with Tilt Control, a tonal attenuation design that tilts the audible frequency range (on a 700Hz axis), subtly adjusting the overall sound balance with ‘warm’ or ‘cool’ hints, and all without altering volume or colouring your sound.

YOUR SECRET EQ SUPERPOWER

Via remote or its onboard rotary dials, refined bass adjustment from -6dB to +6dB, Quad’s iconic Tilt Control, and left/right Balance control let you finely tune your system without inadvertently creating forced and inorganic performances.
