Quad S-4 Floorstanding Loudspeakers

S Series Loudspeakers are no exception fulfilling that objective admirably. Sporting a new ribbon tweeter aligned through sophisticated crossover networks, to Quad's advanced mid-bass drivers, each and every loudspeaker in the range delivers all the nuances and passion of the original performance.

S-4 — THE SEALED FLOORSTANDER

The S-4 is a three-way floorstander built on a sealed enclosure with auxiliary bass radiators rather than a conventional port — twin 5” woven carbon fibre bass drivers working with three rear-firing 5” ABRs. A dedicated 4” carbon fibre midrange and the 0.5 x 2” ribbon tweeter sit above them.

An ABR design gives you the low-end extension of a ported cabinet without port noise, which is why the S-4 reaches 44Hz–23kHz (±3dB) at 88dB sensitivity from a slim 925 x 180 x 300mm cabinet. It wants 25–100W into 6Ω. Want more still? The S-5 steps up to Kevlar drivers and a higher power ceiling.
